Little Kathy
This engine is the Little Kathy from Tiny Power. It was my first engine and machining project, and I would recommend it as a beginning project for anyone wanting to build a steam engine.
1890's Oil Field Engine
This engine is the 1890 Oil Field engine from PM research, a litttle bit gussied up. The kit was in iron, but I made a bronze
steam chest cover, head. I also added a cylinder oiler from my Corliss kit. The finish is "Tool Black", which I have found
works very nicely on cast iron.
This unusual model is from "Pieces of 8" It has an 8 stroke cycle. There are some challanges to this model, but when
running it's very smooth exciting to hear. It runs very cool, and powers the pump nicely. I chose to use electronic
ignition instead of the make break ignitor.
