General Information

Warranty:

The plans for my kits have been checked and verified. Even so, it is possible for an error to exist. If you have ruined a casting because of an error on the prints, I will replace the casting at no charge. The castings are manufactured at a nearby foundry, and have been inspected for defects. Should you find a defective casting, It will be replaced at no charge. Replacement castings are available at a reasonable price.

Special Materials:

Most modeling projects require some special materials, or materials not so easily found. I have included some sources on my "LINKS" page for your convenience.

Copyright Protection

The castings and prints for my model engines have been developed at considerable effort. You may copy the prints for your own use, but distribution with or without compensation is prohibited. Also, copying or reproducing the castings in these kits, or from the prints is allowed for your own personal use, but again, distrinution is prohibited. For more copyright information, please use the following link: http://www.templetons.com/brad/copymyths.html

Suggested Shop Equipment:

To build one of my models, or a similar model, your shop will be equipped with a lathe and milling machine with the appropriate tooling for each, micrometers, drills, reamers, taps & dies etc. as a basic requirement. From there, some options exist as dictated by your budget and ingenuity. For example, most engines use bolt circles. These are best made with a rotary table on a mill, but other setups may work for you. When working in the shop, either on one of my engines, or some other project, you will find it necessary to make some of your own tools and work holders. I have included some of mine on the "TOOLS & TIPS" page.

Safety:

Shop safety must always be your first concern. Always be current with the safety rules for your equipment. Read the MSDS for all of the materials you work with.
